Sizzlipede is technically a pre-evolution of Centiskorch, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Flash Fire absorbs Fire moves and powers up its own, adding extra value. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets.
An unusually even spread gives Sizzlipede flexibility. Attack barely edges ahead. But Defense isn't far off. Common in the wild and follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve. Yields 1 Attack EV.
It stores flammable gas in its body and uses it to generate heat. The yellow sections on its belly get particularly hot.
It wraps prey up with its heated body, cooking them in its coils. Once they’re well-done, it will voraciously nibble them down to the last morsel.
Sizzlipede Weakness
AvgType-wise, Sizzlipede takes extra damage from Rock, Water, and Flying. Watch out for Rock attacks, those deal 4x damage. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.
One evolution ahead. Sizzlipede grows into Centiskorch through a straightforward two-stage chain. A decent partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 220 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Sizzlipede easily with 47 breeding partners from the Bug egg group. Pass egg moves like Defense Curl, Knock Off, Rollout and 1 more to offspring.

The egg pool carries weight here. Defense Curl and Knock Off aren't available any other way for Sizzlipede, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Burn Up and Heat Wave for solid options.

Sizzlipede is meant to evolve into Centiskorch. At 305 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Sizzlipede's biggest threats include Terrakion (Rock), Greninja (Water), and Talonflame (Flying), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Terrakion is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage.
Sizzlipede evolves into Centiskorch at level 28. Sizzlipede is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Flash Fire is what you want on Sizzlipede. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (White Smoke, Flame Body) work on paper but Flash Fire is what makes Sizzlipede worth using.
Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Sizzlipede is leaning toward the physical side (base 65 Attack). Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
