Mid-stage Pokemon like Klink rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Klinklang, which is where the real potential kicks in. Known as the Gear Pokemon. Can go either physical or special depending on the set.
Nothing fancy in Klink's spread. It leans mixed with Defense out front. And you'll get 1 Defense EV per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
The two minigears that compose this Pokémon are closer than twins. They mesh well only with each other.
It’s suspected that Klink were the inspiration behind ancient people’s invention of the first gears.
Klink Weakness
ExcellentKlink's Steel typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, and Ground moves. It shrugs off Poison-type attacks completely. It resists 10 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.
Klink kicks off a three-stage evolution line through Klang all the way to Klinklang. For breeding, average hatch time with plenty of partners via one egg group. The evolved forms gain up to 220 total stats over Klink.

The level-up pool tells the story here. Klink learns Zap Cannon and Hyper Beam naturally, plus enough variety that TMs feel like bonuses. Electric and Normal coverage and more extends the reach beyond that.

At 300 BST, Klink is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Klang before bringing it to any serious fight.
Klink evolves into Klang at level 38. Klink is the base form in a 3-stage evolutionary line.
Plus increases Special Attack to 1.5× when a friendly Pokémon has plus or minus — that's the one you want on Klink. Clear Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Minus works too if your team needs something different.
Klink is leaning toward the physical side (base 55 Attack). But the speed tells the real story — base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
