Mid-stage Pokemon like Klink rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Klinklang, which is where the real potential kicks in. Known as the Gear Pokemon. Can go either physical or special depending on the set.
Nothing fancy in Klink's spread. It leans mixed with Defense out front. And you'll get 1 Defense EV per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Two bodies comprise a fixed pair. They spin around each other to generate energy.
Klink Weakness
ExcellentKlink's Steel typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, and Ground moves. It shrugs off Poison-type attacks completely. It resists 11 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
Klink kicks off a three-stage evolution line through Klang all the way to Klinklang. For breeding, average hatch time with no compatible partners via one egg group. The evolved forms gain up to 220 total stats over Klink.
How to Evolve
Breed Klink (with patience) from the Mineral egg group.
