Greedent was practically built for Trick Room teams. 120 base HP provides real offensive pressure once it's 'fastest' on the field. Introduced in Gen 8. Ghost moves can't touch it, and only a single type hits it super-effectively.
Raw HP carries Greedent's bulk more than the defenses do. Speed barely registers. But that HP pool covers for it. A moderately hard to find Greedy Pokemon that yields 2 HP EVs on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
If it spots a berry tree, it will immediately go to gather berries without a sideways glance—even if it’s in the middle of a battle.
This Pokémon makes off with heaps of fallen berries by wrapping them in its tail, which is roughly twice the length of its body.
Greedent Weakness
GoodGreedent is weak to Fighting-type moves. On the flip side, it's immune to Ghost-type moves entirely. Greedent's overall bulk (120/95/75) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
Evolved from Skwovet. Greedent is the final form in this two-stage line. A massive partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. HP grew the most through evolution (+50 over Skwovet), and Greedent peaks at 460 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Greedent to get Skwovet eggs easily using 195 partners from the Ground egg group. Notable egg moves include Belly Drum, Defense Curl, Last Resort and 1 more.
Greedent's built to absorb hits. Sassy nature leans into slow wall duty, Sitrus Berry gives it a one-time health recovery at low HP, and Rest handles sustain. Cheekpouch and Defense and Sp. Def investment EVs tie the defensive profile together.

We rate Greedent C-Tier — a situational pick that fills a niche. At 460 BST, it fits the trick room role. Base 120 HP stands out.
Greedent's biggest threats include Conkeldurr (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 20 Speed, Greedent won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Skwovet evolves into Greedent at level 24. Greedent is the fully evolved form. It sits at 460 BST in its evolved form.
Cheek Pouch is the go-to ability for Greedent. It restores HP upon eating a Berry, in addition to the Berry's effect. Its hidden ability Gluttony can work in specific setups.
Base 20 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Greedent is a physical attacker with base 95 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a trick room.
Greedent can be found in Scarlet & Violet and Sword & Shield.
Greedent joined the series in Sword & Shield and has been available in 2 titles so far. With 2 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
