Nothing about Glaceon screams competitive powerhouse, and that's fine. Ice means only weak to Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel. Been around since Gen 4. Relies on priority moves or Scarf to keep up.
Glaceon's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Attack trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
As a defense mechanism, it can completely freeze its fur to make its hairs stand out like needles.

How to Evolve
Breed with Glaceon to get Eevee eggs (with patience) from the Ground egg group. Notable egg moves include Charm, Covet, Curse and 9 more.
Icebody isn't flashy, but it matters. Combined with Leftovers for passive recovery each turn and max Sp. Atk without Speed EVs, Glaceon fills the defensive wall slot reliably. Bold nature finishes the spread.

Glaceon can't be caught in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Transfer Eevee from Red, Yellow, or Ultra Sun and evolve through the 2-stage line to get it. The step cards below map the full chain.
Glaceon has a 525 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier — a solid choice for the right team. It works best as a wallbreaker. Base 130 Sp. Atk is where it shines.
Watch for Infernape (Fire), Machamp (Fighting), and Aerodactyl (Rock) when using Glaceon. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.
Snow Cloak increases evasion to 1.25× during hail — that's the one you want on Glaceon. Ice Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Glaceon fills the wallbreaker role. It's a special attacker with base 130 Sp. Atk. At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
