Ditto's Normal typing gives it an immunity to Ghost. Only 1 weaknesses on top of that — it has plenty of safe switch-in opportunities. Known as the Transform Pokemon. Been around since Gen 1.
Ditto's stats barely vary. 0 sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 1 HP stat exp, medium-fast 1M XP curve to max.
When it spots an enemy, its body transfigures into an almost perfect copy of its opponent.
Ditto Weakness
GoodDitto is weak to Fighting-type moves. On the flip side, it's immune to Ghost-type moves entirely. Only 1 weakness makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.
- Only 15 types exist — Dark, Steel, and Fairy are absent
- Ghost has no effect on Psychic (a known bug, fixed in Gen II)
- Special stat governs both offense and defense — no Sp.Atk / Sp.Def split
Ditto is an unusual case. This Normal type doesn't evolve and can't breed despite having 288 total stats.
