Ditto Weakness

Ditto is weak to Fighting. On the flip side, it's immune to Ghost-type moves entirely. Only 1 weakness makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.

Ditto's options are limited here. You've got Normal STAB for STAB damage, but there isn't much beyond Normal hitting power. TMs help fill gaps, though the kit stays tight.

    Ditto Guide

    • In Crystal, Ditto's biggest threats include Machamp (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

    • Honestly, in Crystal Ditto is a tough sell at 288 BST. Plenty of stronger Normal options exist. Fun pick, not a practical one.

    • In Crystal, Ditto has a 288 base stat total and ranks as D-Tier: outclassed by other options available in Crystal. It works best as a balanced.

    • In Crystal, Normal typing gives Ditto 1 resistances plus Ghost immunity. HP at base 48 is the top stat. Pure Normal type with same-type attack bonus on Normal moves.

    • In Crystal, Ditto fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 48 Attack. Base 48 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's fragile, can't afford to take many hits.

    Game Availability

Ditto has been part of the series since Red & Blue, appearing in 20 titles across all 10 generations. As a Gen 1 original, it's one of the most consistently available Pokemon in the franchise.
