Mega Diancie with Magic Bounce stayed relevant in Gen VII (Sun & Moon). Reflected Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Thunder Wave. Two gens of Mega carrying the name.

No Mega form in Gen VIII (Sword & Shield). Base Diancie had 50/100/150 lopsided bulk and no Magic Bounce. Dropped without the Mega Stone.
Special Tank Moveset
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Calm Mind
- Body Press

Same level as base form in Gen IX (Scarlet & Violet). Rock/Fairy was interesting typing but Diancie's identity was always the Mega form. Without it, just another mid-tier Fairy.

- Body Press
- Moonblast

Diancie Weakness
Diancie's Rock/Fairy typing leaves it vulnerable to Steel, Water, Grass, and Ground. Steel hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Dragon-type attacks completely. The Rock/Fairy typing picks up 5 resistances to work with. Diancie's overall bulk (50/150/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Steel |
| 2x (Weak) | Water, Grass, Ground |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Normal, Fire, Flying, Bug, Dark |
| 0x (Immune) | Dragon |

Base Stats
The stat bars tell the story: Defense carries everything and HP's dead weight. But this Jewel Pokemon still yields 3 Defense and Sp. Def EVs per fight on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It can instantly create many diamonds by compressing the carbon in the air between its hands.
Diancie Guide
At 600 BST, Diancie is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as an attacker.
Yes. Mega Diancie is the evolved form, sitting at 700 BST. Big power spike over base Diancie (600). Equip the Mega Stone and it transforms in battle.
Watch for Aegislash (Steel), Greninja (Water), and Venusaur (Grass) when using Diancie. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Aegislash is the most dangerous since Steel moves deal 4x damage. Ground-type attackers are also a problem. Diancie has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Diancie. It's the only ability Diancie has.
Diancie is a mixed attacker with base 100 Attack and 100 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the attacker role.
Game Availability
Introduced in X & Y, Diancie shows up in 7 games across 5 generations. Mythical status keeps it locked behind events or specific story content in most appearances.
