Everything about Diancie's stat line is built to win. 150 base Defense leads the way, though 50 HP is worth noting. Dragon moves can't touch it, which offsets the 4 weaknesses somewhat. Known as the Jewel Pokemon. Part of the Gen 6 roster.
The stat bars tell the story: Defense carries everything and HP's dead weight. But this Jewel Pokemon still yields 3 Defense and Sp. Def EVs per fight on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
A sudden transformation of Carbink, its pink, glimmering body is said to be the loveliest sight in the whole world.
It can instantly create many diamonds by compressing the carbon in the air between its hands.
Diancie Weakness
AvgDiancie's Rock/Fairy typing leaves it vulnerable to Steel, Water, Grass, and Ground moves. Steel hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Dragon-type attacks completely. The Rock/Fairy typing picks up 5 resistances to work with. Diancie's overall bulk (50/150/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
A Rock/Fairy-type mythical at 600 base stats, Diancie can't breed or evolve. Event distribution is the standard way to obtain one.
How to Evolve
Clearbody isn't flashy, but it matters. Combined with Power Herb for instant two-turn move execution and max HP and Sp. Atk EVs, Diancie fills the special attacker slot reliably. Quiet nature finishes the spread.

Recommended Teammates
The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Diancie's Normal and Fighting coverage and more all comes from technical machines, built on top of Meteor Beam and Diamond Storm for same-type damage. Diamond Storm and Moonblast are the payoff moves.

At 600 BST, Diancie is built different. We rank it A-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as an attacker.
Watch for Aegislash (Steel), Greninja (Water), and Venusaur (Grass) when using Diancie. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Aegislash is the most dangerous since Steel moves deal 4x damage. Ground-type attackers are also a problem. Diancie has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Diancie doesn't evolve. As a Mythical Pokemon, it stands on its own without an evolutionary line. It's a Rock/Fairy type with 600 BST.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon — that's the one you want on Diancie. It's the only ability Diancie has.
Diancie is a mixed attacker — base 100 Attack and 100 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the attacker role.
Diancie appears in 7 games, including X & Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Introduced in X & Y, Diancie shows up in 7 games across 4 generations. Mythical status keeps it locked behind events or specific story content in most appearances.
