Moves List
The level-up pool tells the story here. Deoxys learns Psychic and Superpower naturally, plus enough variety that TMs feel like bonuses. Coverage across 9 types extends the reach beyond that.

Deoxys HeartGold & SoulSilver Guide
In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Deoxys is a Mythical Pokemon rated A-Tier. At 600 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a sweeper. Shadow Ball with Focus Sash is the standard set.
In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Deoxys's biggest threats include Heracross (Bug), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Houndoom (Dark), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Deoxys's base 150 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.
Pressure is the go-to ability for Deoxys. It increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one. It's Deoxys's only ability.
Deoxys is a mixed attacker with base 180 Attack and 180 Sp. Atk. Fragile, can't afford to take many hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 150 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
In HeartGold & SoulSilver, the best way to handle Deoxys: Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
Game Availability
Introduced in Ruby & Sapphire, Deoxys shows up in 14 games across 8 generations. Mythical status keeps it locked behind events or specific story content in most appearances.
