It carries food all day long. There are tales about lost people who were saved by the food it had.

Rock, Fire, Electric, and Steel moves hit Delibird for super-effective damage. Rock hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all.

Delibird's locked into one move per switch-in with Choice Scarf, trading flexibility for speed patching through item lock. Rapid Spin is the go-to spam option, with the remaining moves keeping switch-ins honest.

Without TMs, Delibird's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get coverage across 7 types on top of Brave Bird and Blizzard for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

  • Watch for Golem (Rock), Arcanine (Fire), and Jolteon (Electric) when using Delibird. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Golem is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Delibird has niche appeal at best. 330 base stats means you're fighting uphill by mid-game. There are better Ice/Flying Pokemon available.

  • Delibird has a 330 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a situational pick that fills a niche. It works best as a hazard setter.

  • Vital Spirit prevents sleep. That's the one you want on Delibird. Insomnia is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Hustle works too if your team needs something different.

  • Ice/Flying typing gives Delibird 3 resistances plus Ground immunity. Speed at base 75 is the top stat. Dual typing means STAB coverage on both Ice and Flying moves.

Delibird first appeared in Gold & Silver and has been available in 18 games across 9 generations. Obtainable through wild encounters in most titles where it appears.
