Delibird Weakness

Rock, Fire, Electric, and Steel moves hit Delibird for super-effective damage. Rock hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all.

Delibird Guide

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, watch for Golem (Rock), Arcanine (Fire), and Jolteon (Electric) when using Delibird. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Golem is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Delibird has niche appeal at best. 330 base stats means you're fighting uphill by mid-game. There are better Ice/Flying Pokemon available.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Delibird has a 330 base stat total and ranks as D-Tier: outclassed by other options available in HeartGold & SoulSilver. It works best as a balanced. Rapid Spin with Focus Sash is the standard set.

  • Vital Spirit prevents sleep. That's the one you want on Delibird. Insomnia is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Hustle works too if your team needs something different.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Ice/Flying typing gives Delibird 3 resistances plus Ground immunity. Speed at base 75 is the top stat. Dual typing means STAB coverage on both Ice and Flying moves.

Game Availability

Delibird first appeared in Gold & Silver and has been available in 18 games across 9 generations. Obtainable through wild encounters in most titles where it appears.
