Buizel is technically a pre-evolution of Floatzel, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Swift Swim doubles its Speed in rain, adding extra value. Only weak to Electric and Grass. Known as the Sea Weasel Pokemon.
Speed and Attack carry most of Buizel's stat budget. Sp. Def's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 1 Speed EV. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It spins its two tails like a screw to propel itself through water. The tails also slice clinging seaweed.
It inflates its flotation sac, keeping its face above water in order to watch for prey movement.
Buizel Weakness
GoodType-wise, Buizel takes extra damage from Electric and Grass. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Just 2 weak spots to worry about, which keeps teambuilding straightforward.
One evolution ahead. Buizel grows into Floatzel through a straightforward two-stage chain. No compatible partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 165 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Buizel easily from the Ground and Water1 egg groups. Pass egg moves like Aqua Ring, Aqua Tail, Baton Pass and 11 more to offspring.
Nothing fancy here. Buizel builds around Nothing for extra utility, Hardy nature for the right stat lean, and max HP and Attack EVs. Swiftswim does its job quietly.

Base 85 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Buizel is leaning toward the physical side (base 65 Attack). Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
