Toedscool is technically a pre-evolution of Toedscruel, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Electric moves can't touch it, which offsets the 4 weaknesses somewhat. Known as the Woodear Pokemon. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets.
Toedscool's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Def leads, Defense trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 1 Sp. Def EV, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Toedscool lives in muggy forests. The flaps that fall from its body are chewy and very delicious.
Though it looks like Tentacool, Toedscool is a completely different species. Its legs may be thin, but it can run at a speed of 30 mph.
Toedscool Weakness
VulnerableToedscool is weak to Ice, Fire, Flying, and Bug-type moves. Watch out for Ice attacks, those deal 4x damage. On the flip side, it's immune to Electric-type moves entirely. Toedscool's special bulk (base 100 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
Toedscool evolves into Toedscruel. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. Plenty of partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 180 stat points total.
How to Evolve
The 50% bulk from Eviolite is no joke. Toedscool takes hits that fully evolved Pokemon can't, especially with a spread EV build EVs pushing the fast special side. Rapid Spin gives it offensive presence.

TMs define Toedscool's movepool. The natural moves cover basics with Leaf Storm and Power Whip, but the real versatility comes from technical machines giving it coverage across 7 types. That's where the options open up.

Best Locations
Toedscool appears in 48 walking locations at Lv. 18-34 across Violet and Scarlet. Not all encounters show up in every version, so check which ones match your game.
Toedscool isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Toedscruel to unlock its full potential. At 335 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Toedscool's biggest threats include Lapras (Ice), Charizard (Fire), and Aerodactyl (Flying), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Lapras is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Bug-type attackers are also a problem.
Toedscool evolves into Toedscruel at level 30. Toedscool is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Mycelium Might is the go-to ability for Toedscool. It status moves go last, but are not affected by the opponent's ability. It's Toedscool's only available ability.
Toedscool fills the hazard setter role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 50 Sp. Atk). Base 70 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many.
Toedscool can be found in Scarlet & Violet.
Introduced in Scarlet & Violet, Toedscool has appeared in 1 games across 1 generation. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
