Is Exeggcute Good in FireRed & LeafGreen Playthrough?
Sun never shows up in FRLG's story, so AbilityChlorophyll sits unused. Exeggutor at Leaf Stone has enormous Special Attack for Grass/Psychic coverage. Handles Misty, Bruno, and Koga. The dual typing gives offensive reach that pure Grass options can't match.

Type-wise, Exeggcute takes extra damage from Bug, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. Watch out for Bug attacks, those deal 4x damage. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Exeggcute's physical bulk (base 80 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
