FRLG Charizard Best Moveset
Fire/Flying at 100 Speed on the attacking side where all Fire moves land from 109 Sp. Atk. AbilityBlaze adds a final push at low HP. The moveset centers on special Fire TermStab with coverage that most teams struggle to handle, and that Speed tier outpaces the majority of the format.

Moves List
Breeding's the move. Ancient Power and Beat Up give Charizard options it can't learn any other way, and coverage across 7 types already covers a decent range on top of Blast Burn and Overheat. The egg moves push it further.

Charizard FireRed & LeafGreen Guide
Charmander is the hardest starter for FireRed & LeafGreen if you want a Fire/Flying Pokemon on your team. Brock and Misty are brutal early gyms. Catch a Mankey on Route 22 or raise a Butterfree to bridge them. Charmeleon evolves into Charizard at level 36 and gains Wing Attack flying coverage, then cleans house from Surge onward. Erika folds to Fire moves and Blaine falls to Slash crits. Sabrina is the toughest matchup with no Psychic counter on the team. Slash and Earthquake handle most of the Elite Four. Charizard cleans up Bruno, but Lance's dragons need a teammate.
Game Availability
Charizard first appeared in Red & Blue and spans 21 games across 10 generations. It later gained Mega X and Mega Y forms in Generation 6 and a Gigantamax form in Generation 8, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
