Welcome to our World of Warcraft Classic Dungeons Guide, here we have a complete list of every Instance-based Dungeon and images showing the Locations you can find them. We took the time to rank them using the Best Dungeons Tier List in WoW Classic, which is based on the Difficulty of Mobs/Bosses, the type of Loot and Gear that Drops for players who run them regularly.

WoW Classic Best Dungeons Tier List

The WoW Classic Best Dungeon Tier List ranks what we consider to be the best in the game, S-Tier is the best and the further you go down the worse they become ending with F-Tier. We base this on a variety of factors but the two biggest are the Difficulty of the Mobs/Bosses and the type of Loot/Gear you can get from farming them. Since Drop Rates can be low depending on what you are going for you may have to re-run that same dungeon a couple of times, we have considered this and has influenced our rankings as well.

How To Find Dungeons in Classic WoW? – Dungeons do not appear on the map or minimap, you must find them on your own. We provide images below showing where you can find each Dungeon in the game.
Whats an Instanced Dungeon? – A Dungeon is an Instance of a small area where players can battle Elite Mob, Bosses and gather Loot or Complete Quest Lines.

WoW Classic Dungeon Locations

The WoW Classic Dungeon Locations List is complete with every Location and the recommended level range to enter it. Trying to find the dungeon is the easy part, being able to complete it by killing the mobs and bosses is another story. This is why players can group up to 5 players at a time when they enter these instance based areas, typically a 1 Tank, 1 Healer and 3 DPS make up the group. From time to time you might see players refer to these Dungeons by their Abbreviation, so we decided to add this along for players still learn the terminology of Classic WoW.

Ragefire Chasm (RFC) – [Level 13-18]

The Ragefire Chasm Dungeon also known as RFC is one of the first Horde Faction instances players can group up as 5 players to complete. Its located within Orgrimmar capital city underground in Cleft of Shadows near the bottom you will find the entrance.

Dungeon Level Range – 13-18
Important Loot Drops – Robe of Evocation, Cursed Felblade, Chanting Blade
Ragefire Chasm Location – Orgrimmar, Cleft of Shadow

Wailing Caverns (WC) – [Level 15-25]

The Wailing Caverns Dungeon also known as WC is a network of underground caverns found within the Northen Barrens.

Dungeon Level Range – 15-25
Important Loot Drops – Leggings of the Fang, Snakeskin Bag, Boahn’s Fang, Gloves of the Fang, Venomstrike, Deep Fathom Ring
Wailing Caverns Location – Barrens

The Deadmines (DM) – [Level 18-23]

The Deadmines Dungeon also known as DM is located in Westfall, this is an Alliance Zone. Horde players can venture to and enter this Instance, just be prepared you might encounter hostile Alliance Players on the way.

The Deadmines Location – Westfall, near Moonbrook

Shadowfang Keep (SFK) – [Level 22-30]

The Shadowfang Keep Dungeon also known as SFK is located in Silverpine Forest. Both the Paladin and Warlock Class have class specific quest they will need to complete within this instance.

Shadowfang Keep Location – Silverpine Forest, near Pyrewood Village

Blackfathom Deeps (BFD) – [Level 20-30]

The Blackfathom Deeps Dungeon also known as BFD is located in Ashenvale. A somewhat difficult Dungeon to find, filled with mobs that can disarm your characters of their weapons.

Blackfathom Deeps Location – Ashenvale, near Zoram Strand

The Stockade (Stocks) – [Level 22-30]

The Stockade Dungeon also known as Stocks is located in the city of Stormwind. The Ragefire Chasm for Alliance Players located within the Captial City for Humans.

Gnomeregan (Gnomer) – [Level 24-34]

The Gnomeregan Dungeon also known as Gnomer is located in Dun Morogh. This instance is located within an Alliance Zone, however, Horde players can enter the Dungeon by travelling to it. This is made easier when the Rig Wars Questline is completed.

Razorfen Kraul (RFK) – [Level 29-38]

The Razorfen Kraul Dungeon also known as RFK is located in the southern part of the Barrens.

Scarlet Monastery (SM) – [Level 26-45]

The Scarlet Monastery Dungeon also is known as SM is located in Tirisfal Glades. This Instance is located in a Horde Zone, so expect some PVPing as this is one of the best Dungeons in WoW Classic.

The Razorfen Downs Dungeon also is known as RFD is located in the Barrens right next to RFK.

Uldaman (Ulda) – [Level 35-45]

The Uldaman Dungeon also is known as Ulda is located near the top of the Badlands.

Dungeon Level Range – 22-30
Important Loot Drops – Galgann’s Fireblaster, Grimlok’s Charge, The Rockpounder, Archaedic Stone, Cragfists

Zul’Farrak (ZF) – [Level 43-53]

The Zul’Farrak Dungeon also is known as ZF is located in the northern part of Tanaris.

Maraudon (Mara) – [Level 45-55]

The Maraudon Dungeon also is known as Mara is located in Desolance. This is one of the more time consuming to complete dungeons in WoW Classic.

Temple of Atal’Hakkar (Sunken Temple) – [Level 54-59]

The Temple of Atal’Hakkar Dungeon also is known as Sunken Temple or ST is located in the Swamp of Sorrows.

Blackrock Depths (BRD) – [Level 51-59]

The Blackrock Depths Dungeon also is known as BRD is located in the Searing Gorge. This is hands down the biggest dungeon in Classic WoW filled with loot drops and Recipes worth farming for.

Lower Blackrock Spire (LBRS) – [Level 54-60]

The Lower Blackrock Spire Dungeon also is known as LBRS is located in the Searing Gorge as well. This Dungeons has lots of strong Healing Gear and is a great place to help gear up Healer Classes.

Dire Maul (DM) – [Level 54-60]

The Dire Maul Dungeon also is known as DM is located in Feralas. Another really big dungeon with an East Wing, where a Crescent Key drops from Pusillin, this key grants access to the West Wing and North Wing.

The Sholomance Dungeon also is known as Scholo is located in the Western Plaguelands.

The Stratholme Dungeon also is known as Strat is located in the Eastern Plaguelands.
