Stats & Training
The stat budget goes to damage. Attack and Sp. Atk carry the offense, Sp. Def doesn't even come close. A Flycatcher Pokemon on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve, worth 0 HP EVs per KO.
Weepinbell has a large hook on its rear end. At night, the Pokemon hooks on to a tree branch and goes to sleep. If it moves around in its sleep, it may wake up to find itself on the ground.
Weepinbell Weakness
Type-wise, Weepinbell takes extra damage from Fire, Ice, Flying, and Psychic. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Standard number of weaknesses for the Grass/Poison typing.

Legends: Z-A Evolution
Sitting between Bellsprout and Victreebel, Weepinbell is part of a chain that requires an evolution item. Not your typical level-up setup. HP has grown the most so far (+15), but there's still another 100 stats to gain in the final evolution. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Legends: Z-A Weepinbell Best Moveset
Weepinbell hasn't fully evolved, but Eviolite's 50% bulk boost makes it viable anyway. Impish nature with spread EVs shapes the defensive spread, and Chlorophyll adds utility.

Moves
Leveling does the heavy lifting. Weepinbell picks up Sludge Wave and Power Whip along the way, building toward a complete offensive set. TMs add Bug and Dark coverage, but the foundation's already strong by then.

How to Get Weepinbell in Legends: Z-A
Weepinbell can't be caught in Legends: Z-A. Transfer Bellsprout from Blue, Yellow, or LeafGreen and evolve through the 2-stage line to get it. The step cards below map the full chain.
Weepinbell Guide
Weepinbell is meant to evolve into Victreebel. At 390 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
In Legends: Z-A, Bellsprout evolves into Weepinbell at level 21. Weepinbell evolves into Victreebel using a Leaf Stone. Weepinbell is a middle-stage evolution in the Bellsprout line.
Chlorophyll is what you want on Weepinbell. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Gluttony) work on paper but Chlorophyll is what makes Weepinbell worth using.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Weepinbell is a mixed attacker with base 90 Attack and 85 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Fragile, can't afford to take many hits.
