Stats & Training
Bellsprout's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, Sp. Def trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Easy to catch and worth 1 Attack stat exp, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Even though its body is extremely skinny, it is blindingly fast when catching its prey.
It plants its feet deep underground to replenish water. It can’t escape its enemy while it’s rooted.

Bellsprout Guide
Weepinbell at level 21 is the mid-stage. Push through to Victreebel using a Leaf Stone for the final form. 300 BST right now won't cut it long-term.
Level 21 gets you Weepinbell. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.
In Gold & Silver, Bellsprout does the job early-game if you need a Grass/Poison type on your team. Evolve it into Weepinbell before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
You can find Bellsprout in Gold & Silver. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 19 other games across the series.
