Graceful ripples running across the water’s surface are a sure sign that Tympole are singing in high-pitched voices below.

Tympole's Water typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric and Grass. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Water Absorb grants an additional Water immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.

Tympole can't be caught in Winds & Waves. Bring it over from Black, Omega Ruby, or Sword instead. The encounter info below covers the source games.

Tympole is not available as a wild encounter in this game.

Also found in:

  • Palpitoad at level 25 is the mid-stage. Push through to Seismitoad at level 36 for the final form. 294 BST right now won't cut it long-term.

  • Level 25 gets you Palpitoad. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.

  • You can run Tympole through the first few routes without issues. 294 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Palpitoad as fast as you can.

  • Across 8 games, Tympole has solid availability. First showed up in Winds & Waves. The latest games to include it are Black & White and Black 2 & White 2.

Tympole joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
