Stats & Training
Attack leads and Defense gets almost nothing. That's Sharpedo's stat line in a nutshell. 3 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Attack EVs.
Its fangs rip through sheet iron. It swims at 75 mph and is known as “The Bully of the Sea.”
It can swim at speeds of 75 mph by jetting seawater through its body. It is the bandit of the sea.
Sharpedo Weakness
Sharpedo's Water/Dark typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Grass, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy. It shrugs off Psychic-type attacks completely. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Sharpedo leans offensive (base 120 Atk) rather than trying to tank its weaknesses.

X & Y Evolution
Evolved from Carvanha. Sharpedo is the final form in this two-stage line. A decent partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Attack grew the most through evolution (+30 over Carvanha), and Sharpedo peaks at 460 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Sharpedo to get Carvanha eggs easily using 23 partners from the Water2 egg group. Notable egg moves include Ancient Power, Brine, Destiny Bond and 4 more.
X & Y Sharpedo Best Moveset
One guaranteed turn is all Sharpedo needs. Focus Sash buys it, flexible EVs make it count, and Speed Boost adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Waterfall. Utility options gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

How to Get Sharpedo in X & Y
Sharpedo sits at moderate rates across 2 spots in late-game fishing spots. Pick one from the sorted list and commit to it. Jumping between areas wastes more time than waiting in the right location.
Where To Catch Sharpedo in X & Y
To get Sharpedo, start by catching Carvanha through fishing encounters at Lv. 25-35. The chain covers 2 catchable stages before reaching the final form.

Sharpedo Guide
In X & Y, Speed Boost changes the entire equation for Sharpedo. The 460 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a pivot. Waterfall with Focus Sash is the standard set.
In X & Y, Sharpedo can Mega Evolve into Mega Sharpedo. That's 560 BST, up from 460. The stat redistribution often changes its best role. Mega Stone required, one per battle.
Speed Boost is what you want on Sharpedo. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Rough Skin) work on paper but Speed Boost is what makes Sharpedo worth using.
Base 95 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Sharpedo is a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Defensively? Fragile, can't afford to take many hits. Best used as a pivot.
