Sharpedo punches above its weight class thanks to Speed Boost. It raises its Speed every turn it stays in, which is enough to make up for stats that don't impress on their own. Psychic moves can't touch it, which offsets the 5 weaknesses somewhat.
Attack leads and Defense gets almost nothing. That's Sharpedo's stat line in a nutshell. 3 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Attack EVs.
Its fangs rip through sheet iron. It swims at 75 mph and is known as “The Bully of the Sea.”
It can swim at speeds of 75 mph by jetting seawater through its body. It is the bandit of the sea.
Sharpedo Weakness
AvgSharpedo's Water/Dark typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Grass, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy moves. It shrugs off Psychic-type attacks completely. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Sharpedo leans offensive (base 120 Atk) rather than trying to tank its weaknesses.
Evolved from Carvanha. Sharpedo is the final form in this two-stage line. No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Attack grew the most through evolution (+30 over Carvanha), and Sharpedo peaks at 460 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Sharpedo to get Carvanha eggs easily from the Water2 egg group. Notable egg moves include Ancient Power, Brine, Destiny Bond and 4 more.
One guaranteed turn is all Sharpedo needs. Focus Sash buys it, flexible EVs EVs make it count, and Speed Boost adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Waterfall. Utility options gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

The natural movepool does the job, but Ancient Power and Brine from the egg pool give Sharpedo something extra. Pair those with Hydro Pump and Surf for STAB and coverage across 7 types for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

Sharpedo sits at moderate rates across 2 spots in late-game fishing spots. Pick one from the sorted list and commit to it. Jumping between areas wastes more time than waiting in the right location.

Speed Boost changes the entire equation for Sharpedo. The 460 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a pivot.
Carvanha evolves into Sharpedo at level 30. Sharpedo is the fully evolved form. It sits at 460 BST in its evolved form.
Speed Boost is what you want on Sharpedo. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Rough Skin) work on paper but Speed Boost is what makes Sharpedo worth using.
Base 95 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Sharpedo is a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits. Best used as a pivot.
