Mismagius's Ghost typing gives it an immunity to Normal and Fighting. Only 2 weaknesses on top of that — it has plenty of safe switch-in opportunities. Levitate adds more value on top. Known as the Magical Pokemon.
Mismagius's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, HP trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Atk and Sp. Def EVs, on a fast 800K XP curve.
Feared for its wrath and the curses it spreads, this Pokémon will also, on a whim, cast spells that help people.
Its muttered curses can cause awful headaches or terrifying visions that torment others.
Mismagius Weakness
ExcellentGhost and Dark-type moves hit Mismagius for super-effective damage. The upside? Normal and Fighting-type moves can't touch it at all. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Mismagius's special bulk (base 105 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
Mismagius doesn't evolve through normal leveling. You'll need an evolution item to get here from Misdreavus's line. Breed this form to get Misdreavus eggs (average hatch time). Evolving from Misdreavus gave Mismagius the biggest boost in Sp.Atk (+20), bringing the total to 495 stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Mismagius to get Misdreavus eggs easily from the Indeterminate egg group. Notable egg moves include Curse, Destiny Bond, Imprison and 10 more.
Mismagius leads with Focus Sash insurance. Even if it can't take a hit naturally, it'll survive long enough to deal early damage. Max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs go all-in on offense since bulk doesn't matter here.

Step 2Mismagius ✓
Don't let Mismagius's 495 base stat total fool you. Levitate is what makes it tick — it punches way above its weight class. We rate it B-Tier as a sweeper.
Misdreavus evolves into Mismagius using a Dusk Stone. Mismagius is the fully evolved form. At 495 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.
Run Levitate on Mismagius. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. With base 105 Speed, Levitate gives Mismagius an edge before opponents can react.
Mismagius fills the sweeper role. It's a special attacker with base 105 Sp. Atk. Base 105 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Mismagius appears in 12 games, including Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver, and Diamond & Pearl.
