Mismagius's Ghost typing gives it an immunity to Normal and Fighting. Only 2 weaknesses on top of that — it has plenty of safe switch-in opportunities. Levitate adds more value on top. Known as the Magical Pokemon.
Mismagius's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, HP trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Atk and Sp. Def EVs, on a fast 800K XP curve.
The incantations Mismagius chants can ward against misfortune, so a custom exists of inviting it into one’s home. Incur the Pokémon’s displeasure, however, and disaster will surely ensue.
Mismagius Weakness
ExcellentGhost and Dark-type moves hit Mismagius for super-effective damage. The upside? Normal and Fighting-type moves can't touch it at all. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Mismagius's special bulk (base 105 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
Mismagius doesn't evolve through normal leveling. You'll need an evolution item to get here from Misdreavus's line. Breed this form to get Misdreavus eggs (average hatch time). Evolving from Misdreavus gave Mismagius the biggest boost in Sp.Atk (+20), bringing the total to 495 stats.
How to Evolve
Electric coverage gives Mismagius answers even while choice-locked. Choice Scarf provides speed patching through item lock, and max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs with Levitate mean every prediction that lands hits hard.

Run Levitate on Mismagius. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. With base 105 Speed, Levitate gives Mismagius an edge before opponents can react.
Mismagius fills the sweeper role. It's a special attacker with base 105 Sp. Atk. Base 105 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
