Mismagius's Ghost typing gives it an immunity to Normal and Fighting. Only 2 weaknesses on top of that — it has plenty of safe switch-in opportunities. Levitate adds more value on top. Known as the Magical Pokemon.
Mismagius's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, HP trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Atk and Sp. Def EVs, on a fast 800K XP curve.
Its cry sounds like an incantation. It is said the cry may rarely be imbued with happiness-giving power.
Mismagius Weakness
ExcellentGhost and Dark-type moves hit Mismagius for super-effective damage. The upside? Normal and Fighting-type moves can't touch it at all. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Mismagius's special bulk (base 105 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
Mismagius doesn't evolve through normal leveling. You'll need an evolution item to get here from Misdreavus's line. Breed this form to get Misdreavus eggs (average hatch time). Evolving from Misdreavus gave Mismagius the biggest boost in Sp.Atk (+20), bringing the total to 495 stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Mismagius to get Misdreavus eggs easily using 45 partners from the Indeterminate egg group. Notable egg moves include Curse, Destiny Bond, Imprison and 9 more.
The game plan is straightforward: click Nasty Plot, then sweep. Leftovers and Levitate support the setup turn. EVs go into max Sp. Atk and Speed so Mismagius hits hard once it's boosted.
