Almost nobody uses Greavard in battle. It exists to evolve into Houndstone, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Part of the Gen 9 roster. Normal and Fighting moves can't touch it, and only 2 types hit it super-effectively.
Nothing fancy in Greavard's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 1 Attack EV per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It is said that a dog Pokémon that died in the wild without ever interacting with a human was reborn as this Pokémon.
This friendly Pokémon doesn’t like being alone. Pay it even the slightest bit of attention, and it will follow you forever.
Greavard Weakness
ExcellentGreavard's Ghost typing leaves it vulnerable to Ghost and Dark moves. It shrugs off Normal and Fighting-type attacks completely. Greavard's Ghost typing only leaves 2 gaps to cover.
Greavard is the base form in a two-stage line leading to Houndstone. Check the evolution method below. No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 198 total stats over Greavard.
How to Evolve
Breed Greavard easily from the Ground egg group.
Weakness Policy and Fluffy form the backbone. Greavard invests a spread EV build EVs to play its physical attacker role properly, and Jolly nature pushes Speed higher. Poltergeist handles the heavy lifting on offense. The remaining moves rounds it out.
