Sp. Atk and HP carry most of Exeggutor's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.

Exeggutor's Grass/Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. Bug hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong.

Getting Exeggutor requires an evolution item, not just grinding levels. The chain starts at Exeggcute. Breed this form to get Exeggcute eggs (average hatch time). Sp.Atk grew the most through evolution (+65 over Exeggcute), and Exeggutor peaks at 530 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Harvest isn't flashy, but it matters. Combined with Sitrus Berry for a one-time health recovery at low HP and spread EVs, Exeggutor fills the defensive wall slot reliably. Bold nature finishes the spread.

In Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, Chlorophyll changes the entire equation for Exeggutor. The 530 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Leech Seed with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.
In Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, watch for Pinsir (Bug), Arcanine (Fire), and Lapras (Ice) when using Exeggutor. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Pinsir is the most dangerous since Bug moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 7 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Chlorophyll is what you want on Exeggutor. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Harvest) work on paper but Chlorophyll is what makes Exeggutor worth using.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Exeggutor is a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, Exeggutor has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.
Since debuting in Red & Blue, Exeggutor has appeared in 20 titles over 10 generations. Along the way, it received an Alolan form in Generation 7, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
