Doduo is technically a pre-evolution of Dodrio, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Ground and Ghost moves can't touch it, and only 3 types hit it super-effectively. Known as the Twin Bird Pokemon.
Doduo's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, HP trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 1 Attack EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Its short wings make flying difficult. Instead, this POKéMON runs at high speed on developed legs.
Doduo Weakness
GoodDoduo is weak to Electric, Ice, and Rock-type moves. On the flip side, it's immune to Ground and Ghost-type moves entirely.
- Only 15 types exist — Dark, Steel, and Fairy are absent
- Ghost has no effect on Psychic (a known bug, fixed in Gen II)
- Special stat governs both offense and defense — no Sp.Atk / Sp.Def split
Doduo evolves into Dodrio, but can't breed. At 310 stats as a Normal/Flying type, evolution is the only path. Evolving adds up to 160 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Best Build
Gen 1 build content has limited support (no abilities, held items, or natures).
Try selecting a different game/generation filter, or check back later.
TMs define Doduo's movepool. The natural moves cover basics with Sky Attack and Skull Bash, but the real versatility comes from technical machines giving it limited coverage. That's where the options open up.

Doduo isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Dodrio to unlock its full potential. At 310 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Doduo evolves into Dodrio at level 31. Doduo is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Doduo fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 85 Attack. Base 75 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Doduo appears in 19 games, including Yellow, Red & Blue, and Gold & Silver.
Doduo has been part of the series since Red & Blue, appearing in 19 titles across all 9 generations. As a Gen 1 original, it's one of the most consistently available Pokemon in the franchise.
