Carbink Best Moveset
Rock/Fairy at 150/150 balanced defenses with AbilitySturdy guaranteeing one hit survived. 50 across HP and both offensive stats means zero offensive threat and low effective bulk. The moveset sets MoveStealth Rock and reflects with MoveLight Screen. The defenses look impressive but 50 HP undercuts them entirely.
150 Defense and 150 Sp. Def in Gen VI (X & Y). Rock/Fairy with Sturdy. 50 HP undermined the defenses. Steel and Ground coverage hit 4x.

Carbink Weakness
Carbink's Rock/Fairy typing leaves it vulnerable to Steel, Water, Grass, and Ground. Steel hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Dragon-type attacks completely. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Carbink's overall bulk (50/150/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Steel |
| 2x (Weak) | Water, Grass, Ground |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Normal, Fire, Flying, Bug, Dark |
| 0x (Immune) | Dragon |

Base Stats
Defense leads and HP gets almost nothing. That's Carbink's stat line in a nutshell. 2 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Defense and Sp. Def EVs.
When beset by attackers, Carbink wipes them all out by firing high-energy beams from the gems embedded in its body.
Carbink Guide
We rate Carbink B-Tier: a solid choice for the right team. At 500 BST, it fits the hazard setter role. Base 150 Defense stands out.
Watch for Steelix (Steel), Milotic (Water), and Venusaur (Grass) when using Carbink. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Steelix is the most dangerous since Steel moves deal 4x damage. Ground-type attackers are also a problem. Carbink has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Carbink. Sturdy is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Carbink is a mixed attacker with base 50 Attack and 50 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a hazard setter.
Run Stealth Rock, Trickroom, Endeavor, and Bodypress on Carbink. Stealth Rock is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the hazard setter role with a mix of damage and utility.
