Bruxish punches above its weight class thanks to Strong Jaw. It powers up biting moves by 50%, which is enough to make up for stats that don't impress on their own. 5 type weaknesses to keep in mind. Known as the Gnash Teeth Pokemon.
Everything pushes toward physical damage here. Bruxish's Attack does the work, HP pays the price. But you're still getting 2 Attack EVs per KO. Moderately hard to find, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
When it unleashes its psychic power from the protuberance on its head, the grating sound of grinding teeth echoes through the area.
It stuns its prey with psychokinesis and then grinds them to mush with its strong teeth. Even Shellder’s shell is no match for it.
Bruxish Weakness
VulnerableBruxish's Water/Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Grass, Bug, Ghost, and Dark moves. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Bruxish leans offensive (base 105 Atk) rather than trying to tank its weaknesses.
What you see is what you get. Bruxish sits outside any evolution chain, so focus on the egg moves and no compatible partners from one egg group. Eggs are quick to hatch.
How to Evolve
Breed Bruxish easily from the Water2 egg group. Pass egg moves like Ice Fang, Poison Fang, Rage and 1 more to offspring.
One guaranteed turn is all Bruxish needs. Focus Sash buys it, max HP and Sp. Def EVs make it count, and Dazzling adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Afteryou. The remaining moves gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

You'll want to breed for Ice Fang and Poison Fang on Bruxish. These egg moves aren't just nice to have. Combined with STAB from Synchronoise and Dream Eater, they expand what Bruxish can actually threaten in practice.

Bruxish appears at decent spawn rates across 16 spots in early-game fishing spots. Sort by Best below if you want the highest rate, or Earliest if you want the quickest access point in your playthrough.
Best Locations
Bruxish is a fishing-only catch in this game. 16 spots at Lv. 10-33 using Super Rod, so bring the right rod and check the rates on each location.
Bruxish looks average on paper at 475 BST. But Strong Jaw is why it sees play — build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier attacker on our tier list.
Bruxish doesn't evolve and has no evolutionary line. It's a Water/Psychic-type Pokemon with a 475 base stat total.
Bruxish gets Strong Jaw, Dazzling, and Wonder Skin. But Strong Jaw is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Bruxish is a physical attacker with base 105 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 92 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. Fits the attacker role.
Bruxish can be found in Scarlet & Violet, Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Since Sun & Moon, Bruxish has been obtainable in 3 games. A Generation 7 debut means a shorter history, but Bruxish has appeared steadily across every generation since.
