Disguise absorbs one hit for free before its disguise breaks, giving Mimikyu a free turn to set up or attack. That guaranteed action makes it one of the better setup options in any format it's legal in. Ghost/Fairy typing helps too.
Sp. Def and Speed carry most of Mimikyu's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Sp. Def EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Its actual appearance is unknown. A scholar who saw what was under its rag was overwhelmed by terror and died from the shock.
A lonely Pokémon, it conceals its terrifying appearance beneath an old rag so it can get closer to people and other Pokémon.
Mimikyu Weakness
ExcellentType-wise, Mimikyu takes extra damage from Ghost and Steel. Normal, Fighting, and Dragon moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Mimikyu's special bulk (base 105 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
Breeding is the whole story for Mimikyu. No compatible partners through one egg group, eggs are average hatch time, and you won't need to evolve anything. It's got 4 egg moves worth looking into.
How to Evolve
Breed Mimikyu easily from the Indeterminate egg group. Pass egg moves like Curse, Destiny Bond, Grudge and 1 more to offspring.
One boost from Swords Dance and Mimikyu gets dangerous fast. The Jolly nature targets max Attack and Speed, and Disguise backs the whole approach. Play Rough and the remaining moves handle most of what's left standing.

The egg pool carries weight here. Curse and Destiny Bond aren't available any other way for Mimikyu, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Play Rough and Dazzling Gleam for solid options.

Mimikyu sits at moderate rates across 2 spots in mid-game routes. Pick one from the sorted list and commit to it. Jumping between areas wastes more time than waiting in the right location.

Disguise changes the entire equation for Mimikyu. The 476 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked A-Tier.
Mimikyu's biggest threats include Chandelure (Ghost) and Aegislash (Steel), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

Disguise is what you want on Mimikyu. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind.
Base 96 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Mimikyu is a physical attacker with base 90 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
