While most trainers evolve Bisharp into Kingambit immediately, the unevolved form has a niche with Eviolite boosting its defenses. Poison and Psychic moves can't touch it, and only 3 types hit it super-effectively. The stat spread favors raw physical power.
Attack and Defense carry most of Bisharp's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
This Pokémon commands a group of several Pawniard. Groups that are defeated in territorial disputes are absorbed by the winning side.
Bisharp mercilessly cuts its opponents to pieces with the sharp blades covering its body. It will do anything to win.
Bisharp Weakness
ExcellentFighting, Fire, and Ground-type moves hit Bisharp for super-effective damage. Fighting hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Poison and Psychic-type moves can't touch it at all. With 9 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Bisharp's physical bulk (base 100 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
Sitting between Pawniard and Kingambit, Bisharp is part of a chain that requires a unique condition. Not your typical level-up setup. So far, Attack got the biggest boost (+40 from Pawniard). The final form adds another 60 stats on top.
How to Evolve
Breed with Bisharp to get Pawniard eggs easily using 49 partners from the Humanshape egg group. Notable egg moves include Headbutt, Mean Look, Quick Guard and 1 more.
The game plan is straightforward: click Swords Dance, then sweep. Eviolite and Defiant support the setup turn. EVs go into flexible EVs so Bisharp hits hard once it's boosted.

Don't skip the egg moves. Bisharp picks up Headbutt and Mean Look only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Steel Beam and Foul Play while coverage across 9 types adds range.

Bisharp is meant to evolve into Kingambit. At 490 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Defiant raises Attack two stages upon having any stat lowered — that's the one you want on Bisharp. Pressure is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Inner Focus works too if your team needs something different.
Base 70 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Bisharp is a physical attacker with base 125 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
Bisharp appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
Bisharp joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles so far. With 5 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
