Ranni provides you with a questline; much like the other questlines in this game, they require a few steps to complete. Whether going to a specific location or defeating a particular enemy, we will list the steps below needed to complete Ranni's questline.

Warning: Make sure you have completed Sorcerer Rogier's Questline before meeting Ranni the Witch, otherwise he will die

Church of Elleh Location

To begin her questline, you can first find her going by the name of Renna at the Church of Elleh at the beginning of the game (If you miss this meeting, you can still purchase the Spirit Calling Bell from the Twin Maiden Husks. Ranni will now appear in Ranni's Rise after defeating the Royal Knight Loretta. You must also make sure that you have defeated Starscourge Radahn during the Festival if you started it, otherwise, she will not appear)

Ranni's Rise Location

Upon speaking to her during the night atop Ranni's Rise, she will ask you to help her find the Hidden Treasure of Nokron (if she does not accept your help, you need to speak to Rogier first)
She will then ask you to speak to the other people in her service, all of which can be found on the first floor of her tower (you will not be able to leave until you have spoken to them and then her)
If you have not defeated Starscourge Radahn yet, you will be sent off to speak to Blaidd in the Siofra River

After speaking to Blaidd, he will send you off to talk to Sorceress Sellen
Sellen will tell you to defeat Radahn; doing so will create an entrance to Nokron south of Mistwood
After traveling through Nokron and obtaining the Fingerslayer Blade, return it to Ranni- she will reward the player with the Carian Inverted Statue

Use this statue in the Carian Study Hall to be allowed access to the Divine Tower of Liurnia
Once at the top of the Divine Tower, you can find the Cursemark of Death on Ranni's body
From here, you can now enter Renna's Rise. Using the gateway at the top, you can now enter Ainsel River Main
While here, you can loot a Miniature Ranni Doll from a corpse near a Site of Grace
Use the Site of Grace and use the prompt "Talk to Ranni" three times
Doing this will have her ask you to defeat the Baleful Shadow- which can be found in a cave south of the Nokstella Waterfall Basin Site of Grace

After defeating the Baleful Shadow, Ranni will give the player the Discarded Palace Key
Use this key on a locked chest in Raya Lucaria Grand Library- it will be near Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. This chest will reward you with the Dark Moon Ring

After obtaining the Ring, head to the Lake of Rot and continue into the Grand Cloister
While in the Grand Cloister, use the coffin to fight a boss named Astel, Naturalborn of the Void
Once defeating the boss, the player can continue and enter the Cathedral of Manus Celes
Inside the Cathedral is a small cave where you can find Ranni's Body, use the Dark Moon Ring on it to free Ranni
Upon doing this, Ranni will speak to the player and reward you with the Dark Moon Greatsword while also allowing you the option to complete the "Age of the Stars" ending for the game
