Togetic sits in the middle of its evolution line — stronger than Togepi but not yet at full power. Most trainers push through to Togekiss as fast as possible. A longtime staple going back to Gen 2. Ground and Dragon moves can't touch it, which offsets the 5 weaknesses somewhat.

Togetic's built to absorb hits, not race for knockouts. Special bulk with Sp. Def doing the heavy lifting. And the fast 800K XP curve means it won't take forever to bring up, worth 2 Sp. Def EVs.

No records exist of Togetic being seen in the wilds. Rumors abound that it evolves under the loving care of a trusted human companion, upon whom the Pokémon then bestows great joy.

or evolve from Togepi (Step 1)
  • At 405 BST, Togetic is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Togekiss before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • Togetic's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric), Cloyster (Ice), and Nidoking (Poison), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Rock and Steel-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 40 Speed, Togetic won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.

  • Togepi evolves into Togetic by leveling up. Togetic evolves into Togekiss using a Shiny Stone. Togetic is a middle-stage evolution in the Togepi line.

  • Hustle is the go-to ability for Togetic. It strengthens physical moves to inflict 1.5× damage, but decreases their accuracy to 0.8×. Its hidden ability Super Luck can work in specific setups. Serene Grace is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.

  • Togetic is leaning toward the special side (base 80 Sp. Atk). Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 40 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the support role.

  • Togetic appears in 17 games, including Gold & Silver, Crystal, and Ruby & Sapphire.

Since Gold & Silver, Togetic has been in 17 games. Requiring an item-based evolution to obtain means it's consistently available but requires more effort than simply catching it in the wild.
