Togetic sits in the middle of its evolution line — stronger than Togepi but not yet at full power. Most trainers push through to Togekiss as fast as possible. A longtime staple going back to Gen 2. Known as the Happiness Pokemon.
Togetic's built to absorb hits, not race for knockouts. Special bulk with Sp. Def doing the heavy lifting. And the fast 800K XP curve means it won't take forever to bring up, worth 2 Sp. Def EVs.
It is said to appear in front of kindly people to scatter a glowing down called “joy dust.”
Togetic Weakness
GoodTogetic has no type weaknesses thanks to its unique defensive typing.
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
Togetic connects Togepi to Togekiss in this chain. At least one evolution here needs an evolution item. Sp.Atk has grown the most so far (+40), but there's still another 140 stats to gain in the final evolution.
How to Evolve
Breed with Togetic to get Togepi eggs easily using 35 partners from the Fairy and Flying egg groups. Notable egg moves include Foresight, Future Sight, Lucky Chant and 7 more.

At 405 BST, Togetic is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Togekiss before bringing it to any serious fight.
Togetic has no type weaknesses, making it hard to counter through typing alone. Focus on status moves, entry hazards, or raw neutral damage to take it down.
Hustle is the go-to ability for Togetic. It strengthens physical moves to inflict 1.5× damage, but decreases their accuracy to 0.8×. Its hidden ability Super Luck can work in specific setups. Serene Grace is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.
Togetic is a special attacker with base 80 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 40 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the trick room role.
Togetic appears in 17 games, including Gold & Silver, Crystal, and Ruby & Sapphire.
Since Gold & Silver, Togetic has been in 17 games. Requiring an item-based evolution to obtain means it's consistently available but requires more effort than simply catching it in the wild.
