Numel cannot be caught in this game. It must be traded in from a compatible game where it appears in the wild. On GBA, cross-region trading unlocks post-game after Celio's Sevii Islands Ruby & Sapphire quest. The Switch re-release supports only one-way transfers out to Pokemon HOME.

How to Get Numel in FireRed & LeafGreen

Numel spawns only in Hoenn's Mt. Chimney area, with all three Gen 3 games supplying it. Kanto has no equivalent, so a trade is the only route to the fire-ground dromedary.

Numel Weakness

Type-wise, Numel takes extra damage from Water and Ground. Watch out for Water attacks, those deal 4x damage. Electric moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
