Virizion Weakness
Virizion is weak to Flying, Fire, Ice, Poison, Psychic, and Fairy. Watch out for Flying attacks, those deal 4x damage. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Virizion's special bulk (base 129 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Close Combat is the main STAB option after a Swords Dance boost. Life Orb gives Virizion extra damage on every hit for a health trade to survive the setup turn, and max Attack and Speed EVs make the boosted hits count. The remaining moves catches resists.

In Legends: Z-A, Virizion is a Legendary Pokemon rated B-Tier. At 580 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a pivot. Close Combat with Life Orb is the standard set.
In Legends: Z-A, Virizion's biggest threats include Dodrio (Flying), Charizard (Fire), and Cloyster (Ice), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Dodrio is the most dangerous since Flying moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Psychic, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Justified is the go-to ability for Virizion. It raises Attack one stage upon taking damage from a dark move. It's Virizion's only ability.
Base 108 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Virizion is a mixed attacker with base 90 Attack and 90 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a pivot.
For Legends: Z-A, the core moveset is Close Combat, Swords Dance, Stone Edge, and Leafblade. Close Combat leads at 20% usage. This set covers the pivot role with a mix of damage and utility.
