Mid-stage Pokemon like Spewpa rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Vivillon, which is where the real potential kicks in. Part of the Gen 6 roster. Only weak to Fire, Flying, and Rock.
Nothing fancy in Spewpa's spread. It leans mixed with Defense out front. And you'll get 2 Defense EVs per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
If Rufflet attacks this Pokémon by pecking at it, it will retaliate with its sharp fur and poisonous black powder.
Spewpa doesn’t live in a fixed location. It roams where it pleases across the fields and mountains, building up the energy it needs to evolve.
Spewpa Weakness
AvgFire, Flying, and Rock-type moves hit Spewpa for super-effective damage. Spewpa's physical bulk (base 60 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
Spewpa sits between Scatterbug and Vivillon in this three-stage line. Not the final form yet. For breeding, quick to hatch with no compatible partners via one egg group. So far, Defense got the biggest boost (+20 from Scatterbug). The final form adds another 198 stats on top.
How to Evolve
Breed with Spewpa to get Scatterbug eggs easily from the Bug egg group.
Spewpa hasn't fully evolved, but Eviolite's 50% bulk boost makes it viable anyway. Bold nature with Defense and Sp. Def investment EVs shapes the defensive spread, and Friendguard adds utility.
