  • We rate Delphox B-Tier — a solid choice for the right team. At 534 BST, it fits the sweeper role. Base 114 Sp. Atk stands out.

  • Watch for Gyarados (Water), Swampert (Ground), and Tyranitar (Rock) when using Delphox. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Ghost and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Braixen evolves into Delphox at level 36. Delphox is the final evolution in a 3-stage line starting from Fennekin. At 534 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.

  • Blaze strengthens fire moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less — that's the one you want on Delphox. Magician is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
