Mid-stage Pokemon like Fennekin rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Delphox, which is where the real potential kicks in. Only weak to Water, Ground, and Rock. Known as the Fox Pokemon.
You won't find a real weakness in Fennekin's stat line. It's well-rounded for the Fox Pokemon, and what it does with that depends on moveset and items. Yields 1 Sp. Atk EV, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Eating a twig fills it with energy, and its roomy ears give vent to air hotter than 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
As it walks, it munches on a twig in place of a snack. It intimidates opponents by puffing hot air out of its ears.
Fennekin Weakness
AvgWater, Ground, and Rock-type moves hit Fennekin for super-effective damage. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.
Fennekin kicks off a three-stage evolution line through Braixen all the way to Delphox. For breeding, average hatch time with no compatible partners via one egg group. The evolved forms gain up to 227 total stats over Fennekin.
How to Evolve
Breed Fennekin from the Ground egg group.
The game plan is straightforward: click Calm Mind, then sweep. Eviolite and Magician support the setup turn. EVs go into a spread EV build so Fennekin hits hard once it's boosted.
