Base Stats
Shaymin's spread is anchored by Speed, with balanced defenses backing it up. Defense is the clear weak point. Worth 3 HP EVs per KO, and the 1.06M XP medium-slow curve keeps leveling painless.
Upon taking in the scent of a particular rare flower, Shaymin is enveloped in light, and its tiny body transforms. I took a whiff of the flower myself, but alas, my body remained unchanged.

Shaymin is a Mythical Pokemon rated B-Tier. At 600 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a sweeper. Base 127 Speed is where it shines.
Shaymin's biggest threats include Lapras (Ice), Charizard (Fire), and Nidoking (Poison), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Lapras is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Serene Grace is the go-to ability for Shaymin. It doubles the chance of moves' extra effects occurring. It's Shaymin's only ability.
Shaymin fills the sweeper role. It's a special attacker with base 120 Sp. Atk. Base 127 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
The core moveset is Earthpower, Seedflare, Leech Seed, and Air Slash. Earthpower leads at 0% usage. This set covers the sweeper role with a mix of damage and utility.
