Stats & Training
Everything pushes toward special damage here. Pyroar's Sp. Atk does the work, Sp. Def pays the price. But you're still getting 2 Sp. Atk EVs per KO. Moderately hard to find, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
The females of a pride work together to bring down prey. It’s thanks to them that their pride doesn’t starve.
The mane of a male Pyroar heats up to over 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit during battle. Merely approaching it will cause severe burns.
Pyroar Weakness
Pyroar is weak to Water, Fighting, Ground, and Rock. On the flip side, it's immune to Ghost-type moves entirely. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.

Pyroar Guide
In Scarlet & Violet, Pyroar works as a sweeper with 507 BST behind it. B-Tier on our list: a solid option in Scarlet & Violet for the right team. Hypervoice with Choice Specs is the standard set.
Mega Evolution isn't available in Scarlet & Violet, but Pyroar does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Pyroar hits 607 BST.
In Scarlet & Violet, Pyroar's biggest threats include Milotic (Water), Conkeldurr (Fighting), and Excadrill (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Rock-type attackers are also a problem.
Rivalry is the go-to ability for Pyroar. It increases damage inflicted to 1.25× against Pokémon of the same gender, but decreases damage to 0.75× against the opposite gender. Its hidden ability Moxie can work in specific setups. Unnerve is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
Pyroar is a special attacker with base 109 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 106 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
Game Availability
Available since X & Y, Pyroar appears in 6 games spanning 5 generations. Beyond its original form, it gained a Mega form in Generation 6.
