Its well-developed chest muscles make it strong enough to whip up a gusty windstorm with just a few flaps.

Pidgeot Weakness

Type-wise, Pidgeot takes extra damage from Electric, Ice, and Rock. Ground and Ghost moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. With 83 HP and balanced defenses, Pidgeot can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

HeartGold & SoulSilver Pidgeot Best Moveset

Nothing fancy here. Pidgeot builds around Sitrus Berry for a one-time health recovery at low HP, Hardy nature for the right stat lean, and max HP and Attack EVs. Keeneye does its job quietly.

The egg pool carries weight here. Air Cutter and Air Slash aren't available any other way for Pidgeot, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Giga Impact and Hyper Beam for solid options.

Pidgeot Guide

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Pidgeot has a 469 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in HeartGold & SoulSilver's meta. It works best as a balanced. Fly with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.

  • Mega Evolution isn't available in HeartGold & SoulSilver, but Pidgeot does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Pidgeot hits 569 BST.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Pidgeot's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric), Cloyster (Ice), and Golem (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • Keen Eye is the go-to ability for Pidgeot. It prevents accuracy from being lowered. Its hidden ability Big Pecks can work in specific setups. Tangled Feet is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Pidgeot fills the balanced role. It's a mixed attacker with base 80 Attack and 70 Sp. Atk. Base 91 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

Game Availability

Pidgeot first appeared in Red & Blue and spans 19 games across 10 generations. It later gained a Mega form in Generation 7, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
