Octillery is a Water-type from Gen 2. Only weak to Electric and Grass. 105 base Attack is its best stat. Known as the Jet Pokemon. It works well under Trick Room.
Nothing fancy in Octillery's spread. It leans mixed with Attack out front. And you'll get 2 Attack and Sp. Atk EVs per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
OCTILLERY grabs onto its foe using its tentacles. This POKéMON tries to immobilize it before delivering the finishing blow. If the foe turns out to be too strong, OCTILLERY spews ink to escape.
Octillery Weakness
GoodOctillery is weak to Electric and Grass-type moves. The Water typing picks up 4 resistances to work with. With 75 HP and balanced defenses, Octillery can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
Octillery is what Remoraid becomes. Breed it for Remoraid eggs (average hatch time). Plenty of partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolution from Remoraid pushed Octillery to 480 total stats. HP saw the largest single gain at +40.
How to Evolve
Breed with Octillery to get Remoraid eggs easily using 58 partners from the Water1 and Water2 egg groups. Notable egg moves include Aurora Beam, Haze, Octazooka and 4 more.
Suctioncups helps Octillery stick around while dealing real damage. Leftovers for passive recovery each turn, max HP and Sp. Atk EVs for the right balance, and Surf as the main threat. Not the fastest, but it doesn't need to be.
