Mightyena cannot be caught in this game. It must be traded in from a compatible game where it appears in the wild. On GBA, cross-region trading unlocks post-game after Celio's Sevii Islands Ruby & Sapphire quest. The Switch re-release supports only one-way transfers out to Pokemon HOME. Alternatively, transfer the pre-evolution and level it up to Lv 18.

How to Get Mightyena in FireRed & LeafGreen
Mightyena evolves from a Poochyena at level 18. Since Poochyena needs to come in through a Hoenn trade, the whole chain lives outside Kanto, with the evolution grind happening after the trade.

Mightyena Weakness
Type-wise, Mightyena takes extra damage from Fighting and Bug. Psychic moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Just 2 weak spots to worry about, which keeps teambuilding straightforward.

FRLG Mightyena Best Moveset
90 Attack with AbilityIntimidate dropping opponent Attack on switch-in. Dark TermStab uses the Special stat in this format, leaving the 90 Attack stranded from Dark moves. The moveset provides Intimidate utility but can't back it with damage from the right stat.

Moves List
Breeding's the move. Astonish and Covet give Mightyena options it can't learn any other way, and Normal and Ground coverage and more already covers a decent range on top of Crunch and Bite. The egg moves push it further.
