Electric and Psychic moves don't affect Krookodile at all — that's the advantage of Ground/Dark typing. Intimidate lowers the opponent's Attack on switch-in. Known as the Intimidation Pokemon. Introduced in Gen 5.
Attack and HP carry most of Krookodile's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 3 Attack EVs. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Very violent Pokémon, they try to clamp down on anything that moves in front of their eyes.
They never allow prey to escape. Their jaws are so powerful, they can crush the body of an automobile.
Krookodile Weakness
AvgWater, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy-type moves hit Krookodile for super-effective damage. The upside? Electric and Psychic-type moves can't touch it at all. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
End of the line. Krookodile caps a three-stage chain that started at Sandile. Breeding produces the base form, and eggs are average hatch time. HP grew the most through evolution (+45 over Sandile), and Krookodile peaks at 519 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Krookodile to get Sandile eggs easily from the Ground egg group. Notable egg moves include Beat Up, Counter, Double-Edge and 8 more.
Earthquake is the safe click most turns. Choice Scarf locks Krookodile into it but rewards with speed patching through item lock. Jolly nature and max Attack and Speed EVs maximize that first hit. Moxie helps on the margins.

Krookodile doesn't appear wild. Catch Sandile instead, it shows up at solid rates. Evolve it at level 40 to get Krookodile. The 3-stage chain is mapped in the step cards below.
Intimidate changes the entire equation for Krookodile. The 519 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked A-Tier as a wallbreaker.
Intimidate is what you want on Krookodile. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Moxie, Anger Point) work on paper but Intimidate is what makes Krookodile worth using.
Base 92 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Krookodile is a physical attacker with base 117 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
Krookodile appears in 9 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
Krookodile joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 9 titles so far. With 5 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
