Stats & Training
Special and Speed carry most of Jynx's stat budget. Defense's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Special stat exp. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

Jynx Weakness
Jynx is weak to Fire and Rock. On the flip side, it's immune to Ghost-type moves entirely. Jynx's special bulk (base 95 Special) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Ice, Psychic |
| 0x (Immune) | Ghost |
- Only 15 types exist — Dark, Steel, and Fairy are absent
- Ghost has no effect on Psychic (a known bug, fixed in Gen II)
- Special stat governs both offense and defense — no Sp.Atk / Sp.Def split
In Red & Blue, Exeggutor can KO Jynx with Explosion (141-166%). Golem's Explosion also KOs at 172-202%.

TMs carry this one. Jynx learns Blizzard and Ice Beam naturally for STAB, but the offensive range comes almost entirely from technical machines. Normal and Ghost and beyond give it real matchup play.
