Granbull's normal typing gives it an immunity to Ghost. Only 1 weaknesses on top of that — it has plenty of safe switch-in opportunities. Built to hit on the physical side. A competitive option since Gen 2.
Granbull's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, Speed trails, 2 stats clear the bar. Moderately hard to find and worth 2 Attack EVs, on a fast 800K XP curve.
It can make most any POKéMON run away simply by opening its mouth wide to reveal its big fangs.
Granbull Weakness
GoodType-wise, Granbull takes extra damage from Fighting. Ghost moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. With 90 HP and balanced defenses, Granbull can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
- Special stat split into Sp.Atk and Sp.Def
Granbull is the evolved form of Snubbull. Breeding produces Snubbull eggs, and they're average hatch time. Evolving from Snubbull gave Granbull the biggest boost in Attack (+40), bringing the total to 450 stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Granbull to get Snubbull eggs easily using 16 partners from the Fairy and Ground egg groups. Notable egg moves include Crunch, Feint Attack, Heal Bell and 5 more.
Nothing fancy here. Granbull builds around Leftovers for passive recovery each turn, a nature nature for the right stat lean, and flexible EVs EVs. An ability does its job quietly.

The egg pool carries weight here. Crunch and Feint Attack aren't available any other way for Granbull, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Hyper Beam and Take Down for solid options.

Don't let Granbull's 450 base stat total fool you. Intimidate is what makes it tick — it punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a support.
Granbull's biggest threats include Machamp (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Snubbull evolves into Granbull at level 23. Granbull is the fully evolved form. It sits at 450 BST in its evolved form.
Granbull fills the support role. It's a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
