Goodra brings raw power that's hard to match. Dragon typing and needs some investment to avoid getting outsped — it checks a lot of boxes at once. Only weak to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. Introduced in Gen 6.
Sp. Def leads and Defense gets almost nothing. That's Goodra's stat line in a nutshell. 5 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Tough to catch and yields 3 Sp. Def EVs.
Able to freely control the hardness of its metallic shell. It loathes solitude and is extremely clingy—it will fume and run riot if those dearest to it ever leave its side.
Goodra Weakness
AvgType-wise, Goodra takes extra damage from Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Sap Sipper grants an additional Grass immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Goodra's special bulk (base 150 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
End of the line. Goodra caps a three-stage chain that started at Goomy. Breeding produces the base form, and eggs are takes forever to hatch. Sp.Def grew the most through evolution (+75 over Goomy), and Goodra peaks at 600 total stats.
How to Evolve
Nothing fancy here. Goodra builds around Assault Vest for a special bulk boost with no status moves allowed, Sassy nature for the right stat lean, and max HP and Sp. Def EVs. Sapsipper does its job quietly.

A solid spread overall. Goodra gets Draco Meteor and Outrage for same-type damage alongside coverage across 10 types. It won't blow anyone away, but it doesn't leave you stuck either.

Sap Sipper changes the entire equation for Goodra. The 600 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a tank.
Sap Sipper is what you want on Goodra. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Hydration, Gooey) work on paper but Sap Sipper is what makes Goodra worth using.
Base 80 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Goodra is a special attacker with base 110 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a tank.
