Foongus doesn't have much going for it on its own — the stats just aren't there. The payoff is Amoonguss, and getting there is worth the grind. Part of the Gen 5 roster. Only weak to Fire, Ice, Flying, and Psychic.

Foongus gets Regenerator and Effect Spore. But Regenerator is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Foongus is leaning toward the physical side (base 55 Attack). Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 15 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
