Farigiraf's Normal/Psychic typing gives it an immunity to Ghost. Only 2 weaknesses on top of that — it has plenty of safe switch-in opportunities. Sap Sipper adds more value on top. One of the newer additions from Gen 9.

Farigiraf's spread is anchored by HP, with balanced defenses backing it up. Speed is the clear weak point. Worth 3 HP EVs per KO, and the medium-fast 1M XP curve keeps leveling painless.

Now that the brain waves from the head and tail are synced up, the psychic power of this Pokémon is 10 times stronger than Girafarig’s.

Scarlet

The hardened head from the tail protects the head of the main body as Farigiraf whips its long neck around to headbutt enemies.

Violet

Farigiraf Weakness

Good

Bug and Dark-type moves hit Farigiraf for super-effective damage. The upside? Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. Sap Sipper grants an additional Grass immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. With 120 HP and balanced defenses, Farigiraf can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Without TMs, Farigiraf's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get coverage across 8 types on top of Giga Impact and Hyper Beam for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

or evolve from Girafarig (Step 1)
  • Don't let Farigiraf's 520 base stat total fool you. Sap Sipper is what makes it tick — it punches way above its weight class. We rate it A-Tier as an attacker.

  • Watch for Scizor (Bug) and Hydreigon (Dark) when using Farigiraf. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Girafarig evolves into Farigiraf after learning Twin Beam. Farigiraf is the fully evolved form. At 520 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.

  • Run Sap Sipper on Farigiraf. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Farigiraf also gets Cud Chew and Armor Tail, but they don't compare.

  • Farigiraf fills the attacker role. It's a special attacker with base 110 Sp. Atk. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

  • Farigiraf can be found in Scarlet & Violet.

Introduced in Scarlet & Violet, Farigiraf has appeared in 1 games across 1 generation. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
